Bridgette M. Farris a mother, a teacher, preacher & motivational speaker, has had her share of ups & downs to say the least.  Through domestic violence, abuse, having lost all in Hurricane Katrina, "Elder Bee" (called by those closest to her), has always trusted the God in her to overcome whatever life threw her way. Her ministry is one of transparency & is currently working on her new brand “Loving Beyond.”  She has the amazing ability to love others beyond their faults, looking past mistakes & pulling out the best in them.  Love can hurt, but it also CONQUERS! She boldly speaks of the Restoration, Emotional Healing & the Victory which all can be obtained by the Word of God.

 

Her passion for God started with an “Apartment Ministry” back in 1994 in Baton Rouge, LA.  She held bible study on Mondays for adults & on Wednesdays for children out of her home.  In May 2000 Bridgette was licensed as a Minister and ordained as an Elder in November 2002 under the leadership of Pastor Antoine M. Barriere of the Household of Faith Family Worship Church.  For the past 16 years she has humbly gave of her time in many areas of ministry which included the Music Ministry Praise Team & Choir Director, Youth Ministry Leader, Ministerial Alliance, Director of New Members, First Family and Elders Council.  She also was the Director of the First Fruit Harvest Bookstore, which had three locations.  Even though Katrina was a hard hit for her family, it did not stop her love for God’s people or sharing His word.  Bridgette began Friends R Fabulous Children’s Ministry (Proverbs 22:6) which was held out of her home here in Texas.  She met with the children twice a week for Word Up Wednesday Bible Study and on Saturdays for “Word related” field trips.  Her motto was “Ministry Reaching and Teaching on THEIR level and taking THEM higher.”  

 

She is a current member of Fountain of Praise Church, Pastor Remus & Co~Pastor Mia Wright, which she faithfully serves in The Redeemed Prison Ministry.  Having visited 8 local prisons, she has now developed a passion to encourage those behind bars.  Though she's never been in prison, she has experienced the bondage of an imprisoned mindset.  Her daily goals are to edify & encourage those by the Word of God on how to be free & experience the abundant life God has already laid out for us.  She believes in “doing all things as unto the Lord” and daily stands on Jeremiah 29:11 “for I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare, and not for evil to give you a future and a hope”  & 1 Samuel 16:7 (b clause) “though man look at the outward opinion, God looks at the heart.”
