Bread of Life Prison Ministry was established in 2014 by Founder, Chaplain Carl D. Farris. We believe that no life is beyond the reach of God's power or restoration.  We endeavor daily to reach coutless offender, ex-offenders and their families, to share the Word of redemption, restoration & reconciliation through the love and truth of the Jesus Christ.  We equip & support local churches along with trained TDCJ volunteers to spread the Gospel and nurture disciples behind prison walls, so men & women can become new creations in Christ & ultimately lessen recidivism.  "Forward in Faith!"

We prepare inmates through biblical teaching, life skills & empowerment to become leaders of their families, their neighborhoods, and churches once they are released back into the community.  We support inmates' families, helping them become reconciled to God & one another though transformative relationships.  We go inside the prison walls and conduct Christian-based events, weekly chapel services, Bible studies & specific programs challenging offenders to become men & woman after God's own heart.  We encourage & prepare them to be able to reach personal goals that will futher benefit themselves & their communities.
